Skateboard accident
City police said a juvenile rode his skateboard into a vehicle driven by Ralph Yezek, 56, of Connellsville at 7:22 p.m. Tuesday as he entered the A-Plus parking lot on Morgantown Street. The boy was not injured and was released to his father.

Hit-and-run probed
City police said Tony Kovacic, 82, of Uniontown was struck in the rear by a white and blue Ford Taurus at 4:01 p.m. Tuesday when he was stopped at a red light on Connellsville Street at John Street. No injuries were reported and his car had minor damages.

Monthly report
California police patrolled 3,425 miles in the month of July.
They received 286 calls for service including 20 alarm activations; 10 motorist assists; nine escorts; four assist other departments and three domestic reports.
Police made six criminal arrests including one each of simple assault, trespassing, credit cards and ID theft and two thefts.
Police issued eight summary citations including four disorderly conducts, three underage drinking and one harassment.
Police stopped 54 vehicles and responded to six vehicle accidents, one with injuries. Police filed 24 traffic violations including 13 speeding; four stop sign; two seat belts required and one each of expired registration, insurance required, safe speeds, hit and run and driving under suspended license.
Police issued 593 meter tickets and 94 parking tickets including 48 where prohibited; 33 private lot; four left wheel to the curb; three each of handicap and out of stall; two sidewalk and one seeded area.

Business burglarized
According to state police, someone broke into Miller’s Market in Normalville and stole a lottery machine and some merchandise sometime between Monday evening and Tuesday morning. Anyone with information is asked to call the state police at 724-439-7111.

Warrant issued
State police said a warrant was issued for Jeremiah Youler of Smithfield after he allegedly struck Jamie Lewellen of Smithfield at 4:55 a.m. July 30.

Property stolen
According to state police, someone broke into a vehicle on the Summit Motors used car lot and stole the car’s stereo receiver between 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Monday.
Redstone Twp.
Men arrested
State police said Dwight Davis, 19, of Pittsburgh, Leanard Stenhouse, 20, of Pittsburgh and James Gillcrese, 19, of Pittsburgh were arrested between 4 and 5 a.m. Tuesday for their connection to a burglary of a Hunter’s Ridge apartment and the theft of a vehicle. The three men were arraigned before District Court 14-3-03 and jailed at Fayette County Prison on $20,000 straight bond, police said.

Window shot
Julie Tokar of Perryopolis told state police a bullet shot through a window in her house between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. No one was injured.
