Deems-Moran
United in marriage on June 21 were Brandi Moran of Buckhannon, W.Va., and Jeff Deems of Uniontown. The Rev. Dr. Thomas Whitehead officiated the ceremony at Whyel Chapel at Jumonville.
The bride’s parents are Tom and Glenna Moran of Buckhannon, W.Va. The bridegroom’s parents are Ronald and Nora Deems of Uniontown.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a white satin gown with empire waist, square neck and beaded bodice. The A-line skirt and train were accented with beading. A rhinestone tiara held a veil of illusion with ruffled edge.
Matron of honor was Kyler Clise of Mt. Airy, Md. Bridesmaids were Tara Hackman of Chapel Hill, N.C.; Jennifer Sandberg, Buckhannon, W.Va., sister of the bride; Heather Ogden, Buckhannon, and Susan Frazier, Hilliard, Ohio, sister of the bridegroom.
Amon Marstiller of Alexandria, Va., was best man. Ushers were Scott Harris, Charleston, W.Va.; Rob Christen, Sisterville, W.Va.; Bobby Judy, Davis, W.Va.; and Josh Frazier, Hilliard, Ohio.
A reception was held at the Uniontown Jewish Community Center.
The bride graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College. She is a special education teacher with the Carroll County, Md., school district.
The bridegroom is also a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College. He is a teacher in York Springs.
The couple honeymooned in Alaska.
They reside at 5 Maria Drive, McSherrystown.
