George E. Kintigh, 77, a lifelong resident of Alverton, Pa., retired Postmaster of Alverton, United States Navy Veteran of World War II, and 1943 graduate of the former East Huntingdon High School in Scottdale, Pa., died Friday, August 21, 2003. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years and caregiver, Frances Eileen Suter Kintigh; children and grandchildren: Kit Kintigh and wife, Joanne, and their daughter, Krista, of Scottdale, Pa., Timothy Kintigh and Stephen Kintigh and his fianc?e, Carol Young, all of Alverton, Pa., and Patricia Jo Kintigh-Troiani and husband, John Troiani, and their son, Joshua Troiani, of Greensburg, Pa.; sister, Mary Anne Kintigh of Floral City, Florida; and brother, Bob Kintigh of Springfield, Oregon.

Friends will be received in the Robert B. Ferguson Funeral Home, 105 Spring Street, Scottdale, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, August 26, until the Service at 10:30 a.m.
