John Perry Nevi
John Perry Nevi, 78, a lifelong resident of South Broadway, Scottdale, Pa., World War II United States Army Veteran of Company F 36th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squad, retired Conductor from the Chessie Railroad System in Connellsville, Pa., who owned Nevi’s Confectionary Store on South Broadway in Scottdale for 19 years, died early Saturday morning, August 23, 2003 in his residence. He is survived by his children: Mary Jo Nevi Santimyer and husband, Leonard “Bud” Santimyer, of Scottdale, Pa., Linda Ann Nevi Wingrove and husband, Alan Wingrove, of New Castle, Delaware, and John T. Nevi and wife, Darlene, of Scottdale, Pa.; grandchildren: Ray Cross Jr. And wife, Melissa, of Baltimore, Maryland, Nicole Cross of Mount Pleasant, Pa., Scott Wingrove and Amy Wingrove both of New Castle, Delaware, Jonathan Nevi and Reva Nevi both of Scottdale; great grandson, Samuel Perry Cross; sister, Rita Nevi Koza and husband, Stanley Koza, and brother, Thomas E. Nevi and wife, Ginny, all of Scottdale, Pa.; sisters-in-law: Josephine Shaw and Margaret Sanzone both of Connellsville, Pa.; and his three beloved canines.
Family will greet Friends in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home Inc., 417 West Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, August 26, until the Blessing Service at 9:30 a.m.
