Lewis F. Rose, 71, of Manor, Pa., died Thursday, August 21, 2003 in his home. He was born August 7, 1932 in McKeesport, Pa., son of Adolph H. Rose and Velma Campbell Rose.

Prior to retirement, he was employed as a Plasterer for 50 years by Plasterers Union No. 31 of Pittsburgh, Pa.

He was an associate member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Addison, Pa., and a member of the Irwin (Pa.) Sportsmen’s Club.

A brother, Howard M. Rose, and parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Christine George Rose; four sons: Jeffrey L. Rose and wife, Mary Ann, Pastor Kenneth C. Rose and wife, Nancy, and Pastor Daniel E. Rose and wife, Courtney, all of Buena Vista, Colorado, and Scott M. Rose and wife, Christine, of Jeannette, Pa.; four grandchildren: David, Jason, Kelly and Hannah; and a sister, Helen Rose Basch of Gary, New York.

There will be no public viewing.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 30, at 1 p.m. in St. John’s Lutheran Church, 611 Main Street, Addison, Pa., with the Rev. Bill Triebe officiating.
