This program as offered by AARP is an eight-hour classroom refresher course designed for motorists age 50 and older. AARP 55 Alive Course addresses the physical changes that can affect older drivers and presents ways to compensate for those changes.

Completion of the program in Pennsylvania qualifies the participants for a multi-year automobile insurance discount. Each participant must attend two-day class instruction of four hours each.

Husbands and wives who both drive need to attend both sessions to receive their automobile discounts. The cost to each participant is $10 payable to AARP at the time of registration to cover the cost of books and materials. Prior registration is required. Class size is limited.

AARP has recently introduced a new toll-free number (1-888-227-7669) for information about other locations.
