Edna M. Porterfield Hood, 97, of Greensburg R.D. 2 (Brinkerton), died Monday, August 25, 2003, in Greensburg. She is survived by one son, George Hood of Greensburg; two daughters, Rita Carnes of Scottdale and Mrs. Joseph (Willa Jean) Brown of Mount Pleasant; 12 grandchildren; 26 great- grandchildren; 15 great great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Homer (Sara) Brisbine of Brinkerton.

Friends will be received at Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home, Norvelt, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until Friday.
