Shots fired According to state police, two black men wearing dark, hooded jackets and one wearing a mask fired a shot at Aaron McGee of Uniontown and robbed him at his 44 Evans St. residence in Tuskeegee Terrace at 1:24 a.m. Tuesday. The men fired the shot when McGee attempted to escape them. They then fled toward Route 40.

Turkey struck
Robert L. Tretinik, 42, of Brownsville was not injured when his vehicle struck a turkey on Interstate 70 eastbound near Exit 39 at 8:36 a.m. Sunday, state police said.

Man charged
Paul K. Keblis, 44, of Uniontown was charged with criminal mischief after he allegedly damaged a kitchen wall at the Route 201 home of Cindy Tomasek of Vanderbilt and used profanity in front of Tomasek and her 10-year-old son at 9:46 p.m. Saturday, state police said.
Charges were filed in the office of District Justice Mike Defino.

Two hurt in crash
Drivers Rachel Mathianas of Brownsville and Joseph Crable of Brownsville were injured in a three-vehicle accident on Route 40 near Route 166 at 4:15 p.m. Monday, state police said.
Police said the third driver, Kimberly Kubicko of California, was not hurt.

Tony P. Leasure was treated at Uniontown Hospital after an unknown motorist backed his vehicle into Leasure’s leg while Leasure was putting motor oil into a friend’s vehicle at the intersection of Morgantown and Fayette at 5 a.m. Monday, city police said. The driver fled the scene.

Debbie Davidson of Hortense Street told city police that her blue, wallet-style purse, containing $105, a Social Security card, driver’s license and checkbook, was taken from the base of her stairs sometime before 5 p.m. Monday.

Rebecca Shuba of Devan Street told city police that sometime after midnight Monday, a 42-inch plastic snowman was taken from her front yard.

Dr. Roldan Medina told city police Monday that three windows were damaged at a location at 60 Connellsville St. over the weekend. Police said it appeared that the windows were shot with either a BB or pellet gun.

Edward Moore told city police that a firecracker damaged the rear passenger side taillight and bed of a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado parked on Askren Street sometime Sunday night, city police said.

Possible theft
City police are investigating a possible theft that occurred at Tractor Supply on Morgantown Street at 2:26 p.m. Monday.
Police said a woman returned a nozzle conversion kit and received credit for $95.39. However, the store manager reported that there was only one nozzle kit in inventory even after it was returned. Police said the kit might have been stolen.

Borough police charged Greg Belovich, 38, of Denbo for driving while under the influence of a controlled substance and for driving with a suspended driver’s license Saturday.

Wallet stolen
State police said someone stole a wallet owned by Jane Sawka of Uniontown from the Holiday Inn along Route 40 Sunday and then attempted to use a credit card from the wallet at the Uniontown Mall.

Cars collide
State police said vehicles operated by John Tringhese, 43, of Dunbar and Paul McBeth, 83, of Vanderbilt collided along Hopwood-Coolspring Road at 6 p.m. Monday. Police said a passenger in McBeth’s car, Mary McBeth, 75, of Vanderbilt, was injured in the crash.

Fred Grantzhorn, 50, of Oliver told state police that someone damaged the windshield of his vehicle parked at his Washington Street residence Monday at 3 p.m.

State police said someone stole items owned by Sheldon Chun Sr. of Carmichaels from his Cedarwood Acres residence Thursday.

Two charged
State police said simple assault charges were filed against Thomas Harbarger, 22, and Deanna Doytek, 20, both of Carmichaels, after a fight at Parkview Knoll at 4:50 a.m. Monday.

Three-car crash
State police said vehicles operated by Dorwin Kerr, 88, of Waynesburg, Dana Gnad, 28, of Holbrook and Robert Berdine, 51, of Rices Landing crashed at the intersection of Route 19 and Route 21 at 1:13 p.m. Tuesday.
Kerr and passenger Elizabeth Kerr, 85, as well as Gnad suffered minor injuries, police said.
