Ann Baranek
Ann Fabian Baranek, 75, of Uniontown, Pa., died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at her residence. She was born Dec. 14, 1927, in Old Wynn, Fayette County, Pa., daughter of the late John Fabian Sr., and Helena Krosni Fabian.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, John Fabian and sister, Helen Smarslok. She was the last surviving member of her parent’s immediate family.
Ann was a member of Saint Mary (Nativity) Church of Uniontown, and also formerly of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church of Fairchance.
Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Fred Baranek; two daughters, Sherry Ryan and husband, Timothy of Upper Saint Clair, Pa., and Terrie Baranek of Imperial, Pa.; and three grandchildren, Jordan Ryan, Christian Ryan and Connor Ryan.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church St., Fairchance, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, until 9 a.m., when a prayer service will be held. A Mass of Christian burial follows in Ss. Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, Fairchance, at 9:30 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. David Nazimek as celebrant. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa. Parish Wake Service will be held on Thursday afternoon.
