Evelyn Patterson
Evelyn Ashton Patterson, 92, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Thursday morning, Dec. 4, 2003, in the Mount Macrina Manor, Uniontown. She was born August 30, 1911, in Oliver No. 3, the daughter of the late John Ashton and Mary Hannah Sillett Ashton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lane Patterson; daughters, Dolores Elaine Barnett and Gloria Jean Wallace; grandson Richard Joseph Quarrick; brothers and sisters: Frederick Ashton, Clarence Ashton, Hannah Dupont, Florence Nicklow, Beatrice Koteles; sons-in-law, William Joseph Quarrick, Walter Barnett, and William Andrew Palya.
Evelyn was a member of the Oliver No. 3 Mothers Club and a member of the former Pillar of Fire Church of Oliver No. 3.
She is survived by her loving children: Barbara Ann Mayfield and husband William of Lake Lynn, Pa., June Arlene Chapley and husband Edward of McClellandtown, Pa., Henrietta Palya of Uniontown, Pa. and Cindy Lou Palaisa and husband Joseph of Uniontown; 26 loving grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Katheryn Ashton of Oliver No. 3, Pa. and Lucy Oldland of Lemont Furnace, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN E. KEZMARSKY, III FUNERAL HOME at 71 PENNSYLVANIA AVE., Uniontown today from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday morning until 10:30 a.m., when funeral services will be held with Pastor Bryan Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
