Beatrice Moser

Beatrice Althea Moser, 89, of Placerville, Calif., formerly of West Leisenring, Pa., died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at her residence. She was born July 22, 1914, in Oliphant Furnace, Pa., a daughter of the late William and Ella Dougherty Donaldson. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Oran K. Moser; a son, Richard Moser; a daughter Dorothy Dorogi; three grandchildren; and five brothers: Lindsay, William, Charles, John and James Donaldson.

Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Lewis of Placerville, Calif., with whom she made her home; two sons: Oran M. Moser and his wife Maryann of Las Vegas, Nevada and Walter Lawrence Moser and his wife Lois of Brook Park, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; several great great-grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Donaldson and his wife Joy of Oliphant Furnace, Pa.; and three sisters: Martha McArdle of Vanderbilt, Pa., Irene Lynn of Brook Park, Ohio., and Donna Rae Smith and her husband William of Hopwood, Pa.

Mrs. Moser had been a teacher’s aide with the Intermediate Unit 1 in West Leisenring and previously attended the Hopwood United Methodist Church.

Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, Pa., on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Connie L. Moser officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
