Andrew R. Zamek, 75, of Uniontown, Pa., died Thursday, December 4, 2003 in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc., Carroll Township, Washington County, Pa.

He was born May 22, 1928 in Uniontown, Pa., son of Andrew and Mary (Yartz) Zamek.

Mr. Zamek was a Veteran of the Korean War who served in the United States Army.

He was a former employee of Laurel Highlands School District.

Surviving are his wife, Eleanor J. Seehoffer Zamek; five daughters: Deborah Nichols and her husband William of New Salem, Pa., Mary Burkovich and her husband Richard and Jennifer Chissell and her husband Robert all of Uniontown, Pa., Catherine Warchol and her husband Kevin of Smock, Pa., and Andrea Kennedy and her husband John of Bridgeville, Pa.; a son, Michael Ritz and his wife Lynda of Connellsville, Pa.; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and his first wife, Mary Jane Veres Zamek of Uniontown, Pa.

Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., on Monday, December 8, from 3 to 5 and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 8:30 p.m.

Private interment will be held at a later date.
