Claude Phillip Jordan
Claude Phillip Jordan, 83, of Perry, Missouri, and formerly of Uniontown R. D. 2, Pa., passed away at 12:05 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2003 in Hannibal Regional Hospital, Missouri. He was born April 14, 1920 in Smithfield, Pa., the son of Arley Jordan and Etta Pauline Rhodes Jordan.
Mr. Jordan had lived in the Perry, Missouri, area for five years.
Before his retirement he had worked as a Truck Driver in the Coal Industry for many years.
He also served in the United States Navy.
Mr. Jordan married Pearl Miller Jordan in 1939.
His first wife Pearl, brother, William Jordan, sister, Ednareen Jordan Hughes, and parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his second wife, Mabel Anna Hillen Jordan, whom he married on June 30, 1971 in Oakland, Maryland; two sons: Claude Jordan and Sunny Jordan both of Smithfield, Pa.; one stepson, Richard McDonough of Florence, Alabama; one daughter, Betty Gellen of Fairchance, Pa.; one stepdaughter, Mildred Pollock of Perry, Missouri; one brother, Arley Jordan Jr. of Huntsville, Alabama; two sisters: Ann Jordan Aspolas of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Helen Jordan of California state; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
No service is planned as the body was donated to science.
