Gladys Rider McKenzie
Gladys O. Rider McKenzie, age 91, a resident for the past five years of Marquis House on Cherry Tree Lane, Uniontown, Pa., and formerly of Masontown, Pa., passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2003 in Cherry Tree Nursing Home, Uniontown, Pa.
She was born October 8, 1912 in Continental Two, Fayette County, Pa., the daughter of Francis and Lizzie (Coffman) Rider.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew McKenzie, in August of 1984, an infant son, Andrew McKenzie Jr. in 1952, a brother, Ebert Rider, a sister, Ruth Rider, two sisters in infancy, two nephews, Duane Rider and Howard Rider, and her parents.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Vivian Ashton of Uniontown, Pa., Glenn Rider and Earl Rider both of Baltimore, Maryland, Marlin Rider and Elizabeth Russo both of Streetsboro, Ohio, and Mary Margaret Stetina of Bowie, Maryland; and several other nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC. AT SYLVAN HEIGHTS CEMETERY, A Dignity Memorial Provider, 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today from 5 to 9 p.m. and Monday, December 8, until 11 a.m. when a Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Todd Kornahrens officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
