LAUREL HIGHLANDS HIGH SCHOOL BAND BOOSTER PARENTS canceled their meeting for tonight. The next meeting is set for Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. at the high school. Regular meetings are held the second Thursday of each month. FAYETTE COUNTY POMONA GRANGE 49 will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at York Run Grange for the quarterly meeting. Members are to bring a covered dish. Lunch will follow the meeting.
LEGION CLUB OF UNIONTOWN is now accepting 2004 social dues at $26 a person. After Dec. 31, dues will be $31. All regular, auxiliary and S.A.L. dues are also due now.
FAYETTE COUNTY CHRISTIAN SINGLES FELLOWSHIP meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at Asbury United Methodist Church, Uniontown, Dunbar Street entrance. Guest speaker will be Joe Angell. UNIONTOWN SERVICE LEAGUE, 41 W. Main St., Uniontown, has a large selection of children’s clothing, stuffed animals and other items suitable for Christmas gift giving. Proceeds benefit local charities.
HOPWOOD FIRE DEPARTMENT and Hopwood United Methodist Church will distribute Christmas treats to children of the Hopwood service area from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Hopwood Firemen’s Social Hall. Santa Clause will be guest of honor.
