Frank K. “Skip” Zearley, 81, of Parker Avenue, Scottdale, Pa., who retired as Chief Chemist in 1984 with 46 years service from Duraloy Blaw-Knox, Scottdale, served in the United States Navy as a Quartermaster in the Pacific Theatre on the U.S.S. Birmingham during World War II, and graduated from the former Scottdale High School Class of 1939, died Friday afternoon, December 12, 2003 at 2 p.m. in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg, Pa. On May 7, 1948 he married Gladys Anne Broush Zearley, who survives. Also surviving are four children: Daniel Zearley and wife Susan of Bethel Park, Pa., Frances Zearley Murray and husband Mike Murray, Wilmington, Delaware, Theodore Zearley and wife Barb, Scottdale, Pa., and Mitchell Zearley of Carnegie, Pa.; grandchildren: Kelly Herbert and husband Jeffrey, Mike Murray III and wife Diane, Bethany Hauch and husband Jeremy, Caitlin Murray Becky Zearley and Zach Zearley; great granddaughters: Chloe Herbert, Julia Murray, Michelle Murray; nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends will be received in the Robert B. Ferguson Funeral Home, 105 Spring Street, Scottdale, Pa., today from Noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Visitation continues Monday, December 15, in Calvin United Presbyterian Church, Scottdale, until the Memorial Service at 11 a.m.
