Ruby Groover Kadar

Ruby Helen Groover Kadar, 87, of Ohiopyle, Pa., died Saturday, December 23, 2003.

She was born April 26, 1916 in Chalk Hill, Pa., daughter of Dahlgren Groover and Ethel Teets Groover.

Mrs. Kadar was a member of St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown, Pa.

Her husband, George Kadar Jr., three brothers, Bert Groover, Vernon Groover, John A. Groover, two sisters, Edna Lynch and Grace Nelson, and parents preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons: George M. Kadar and his wife Eileen of Ohiopyle, Pa., and Thomas Kadar and his wife Barbara of Chalk Hill, Pa.; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother, Millard Groover of Fairchance, Pa.; and a sister, Virginia Demeter of Farmington, Pa.

Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, December 16, until 9 a.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. in St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 50 Jefferson Street, Uniontown, with Rev. Fr. William J. Kiel as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.

Parish Wake Service in the Funeral Home on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
