Bill Hudak Jr. of Morgantown, W.Va., will celebrate his birthday on Tuesday.
James Farnello of Uniontown, president of Vances Coffee Club, celebrated his birthday on Dec. 9.
First child
Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy Hughes announce the birth of their first child, Jonah Michael Hughes. He was born Oct. 14 in Uniontown Hospital.
The infant was christened on Nov. 16 at All Saints Church, Masontown, with the Rev. James Bump officiating. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Warren Hughes and Mr. and Mrs. William Hudak. Great-grandparents are Lillian Hughes and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Hudak.
Christmas parties
The Gems Bowling League will hold a Christmas party at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Shadyside Restaurant.
Hurricane Bowling League will hold its Christmas party at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Meloni’s.
Central Christian Church Ladies Dartball League will hold a Christmas party at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Flamingo, Hollywood Steakhouse.

Circle Club
The Circle Club will hold its Christmas party Wednesday at 6 p.m. Christmas cards may be handed out before the dinner and after entertainment. Ushers will be Fran Duda and Barb McKnight. The trip for Las Vegas is set for April 25. Anyone interested is asked to call Norma Santore at 724-438-5273.
