Elizabeth I. Cosgrove
Elizabeth “Beth” Isobel Clifford Cosgrove, age 84, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Saturday morning, December 13, 2003 in The Marquis House, Uniontown. She was born November 27, 1919 in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of Robert E. Clifford and Anne Veronica Boylan Clifford.
“Beth” was a member of St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, its Church Choir, and The Jefferson Catholic Club.
She was an officer and member of St. Vincent DePaul Society.
“Beth” held the position of Bank Officer and was the Vice President of Customer Service for the former Fayette Bank in Uniontown.
She was a member of the Business and Professional Women in Uniontown and the Catholic Women’s Business and Professional Women,
She graduated from the former St. John The Evangelist High School.
Her beloved husband, Charles T. Cosgrove, brothers and sisters, J. Robert Clifford, Marjorie Larson and husband William, Mary Louise Gleason and husband Earl, two nieces, Karen M. Clifford and Mary Beth Gleason-Diven, and parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sisters-in-law: Julia Clifford and Dorothy Cosgrove both of Uniontown, Pa.; nieces and nephews: Mary Jule Clifford, Sister Anne Clifford, J. Robert Clifford and wife Cherie, Cathleen Gleason, Robert C. Gleason, Ann Louise Hassan and husband William, and Bobbi Cosgrove; great nephews and great nieces: Brendan Diven, Jonathan Diven, Caitlin Diver, John Clifford, Dylan Clifford, Melissa Clifford, Connor Hassan, Mary Hassan, Hugh Hassan, and Marjorie “Maggie” Hassan.
The Family will receive Friends in the STEPEHN E. KEZMARSKY III FUNERAL HOME AT 71 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, UNIONTOWN, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, December 16, until 12:30 p.m., when a Blessing Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 1 p.m., in St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Jefferson Street, Uniontown, with the Rev. Fr. William J. Kiel as Celebrant.
Interment follows in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Uniontown.
