Community calendar – Dec. 17
CHRISTMAS EVE CANDLELIGHT SERVICE will be held at 11 p.m. Dec. 24 at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Main Street, Fairchance. The program will include the story of Christmas in scripture and song. The public is invited to attend. AL-ANON, for those affected by someone’s drinking, meets at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the basement of Trinity Presbyterian Church, corner of Morgantown and Fayette streets, Uniontown. Use the Fayette Street entrance.
OVEREATERS ANONYMOUS, for those who have trouble with compulsive eating, meets at 7:45 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter’s Church parish house at 60 Morgantown St., Uniontown. Use the church entrance.
UNIONTOWN SENIOR CITIZEN’S monthly dance, “Silver Bells,’ will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Monday at Uniontown Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 47, West Main Street. Dave Dahl’s Orchestra will provide music for all dancing. Santa Claus will also pay a visit. Refreshments will be served and door prizes awarded.
