Mary E. Grena, 90, of Smock, Pa., died Monday, December 15, 2003, in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born on July 30, 1913, in Czechoslovakia, the daughter of the late Steve and Mary Smelko Kuhar.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Michael T. Grena, Jr.; brothers, John, Francis, Steve, Joseph and Edward Kuhar; and a sister, Margaret Sindrich.

She is survived by three children, Dolores Matchey of Smock, Pa., Robert Grena and his wife, Audrey of Herndon, Va., and George Grena and his wife, Martha Ann of Vienna, Va.; four grandchildren, Dana, Rob, Georgia and George Michael; a sister, Theresa Greyhosky of Cokesburg, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Eva Kuhar of Bentleyville, Pa.; loving friends, Debbie, Diane, Ginger, Joni, Gina, and Jim; and special friends Lela Pipper and Betty Zaksek.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME. 135 Park St., Brownsville, Pa. today at 10 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Hedwig R.C. Church of Smock, Pa. at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. John Sedlak as celebrant. Interment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park.
