Merle l. Arnold, 92, of Clarksville, died Thursday, December 18, 2003, in Clarksville. Mr. Arnold graduated from Jefferson High school and was a lifelong resident of the Clarksville area.

He retired as a coal miner from Crucible Fuel Company and from the Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Authority in 1978.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Sue A. Welling of North Royalton, Ohio and Mrs. Connie A. Blue of Waynesburg; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends of Merle L. Arnold will be received from 7 to 9 p.m., today in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Pa. Private services will be held Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003.
