Ruth Conway Provance, 89, of Hopwood, Pa., passed away suddenly Saturday, December 20, 2003 in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born February 16, 1914 in Ohiopyle, Pa., daughter of Ward and Oma (Corriston) Conway.

Ruth was a lifelong member of Central Christian Church, Uniontown, Pa.

She was predeceased by her husband, Spencer Provance in 1991, a son, Harry Provance in 1998, a granddaughter, Marnie Provance in 1981, parents, and nine brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her children: Maxine Stanley and husband Jack of Washington, Pa., and Spencer Provance Jr. and wife Linda of Hopwood, Pa.; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and a brother, Richard Conway and wife Claudine of Thornville, Ohio.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, December 23, until 1 p.m., the hour of the Service.

Entombment will follow in Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
