Students help veterans

1 min read

Fifth-grade students at the Marshall Elementary School in the Laurel Highlands School District recently raised $200 to purchase hardtack candy for veterans. Attached to each bag of candy was a small flag with a personal letter written on the back to each recipient. Kneeling (from left) are Damon Savage and Travis Maraugha. Seated (from left) are local World War II veterans Harold Yauger, Richard Hart and Robert Landman. Standing (from left) are Felicia Yauger and Jessica Knight.
