Helen Bober Jessick
Helen Bober Jessick, 87, of Gettysburg, Pa., and formerly of Vestaburg, Pa., died Tuesday, December 22, 2003 in Shepherd’s Choice Nursing Home, Gettysburg, Pa. She was born December 18, 1916 in Smock, Pa., a daughter of Jazden Bober and Agnes Szeliga Bober.
Mrs. Jessick was a member of Saint Michael Archangel Church, Saint Oliver Plunkett Parish, Fredericktown, Pa., The Confraternity of Christian Mothers, and The Ladies Guild of the Church.
She was also a member of the Beth Center Senior Citizens.
Her husband, John “Jack” Jessick, died December 1, 1987. Also deceased are her first husband, Thomas Dorricott, two sisters, Julia Haligowski and Violet Bober, three brothers, Alex, Joseph and William Bober, and her parents.
Surviving are two daughters: Darlene Tilton of Vestaburg, Pa., and Jayne Settle of Bendersville, Pa.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers: Ted Bober of Delray Beach, Fla., and Edward Bober of Brecksville, Ohio; and a loving friend, Margie Campbell.
Friends will be received in the GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 42 Bank Street at Crawford Road, Fredericktown, Pa., on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where Friends and Family will gather Monday, December 29, at 9:30 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in Saint Michael Archangel Church of Saint Oliver Plunkett Parish with Rev. Fr. Paul Grunebach as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Pa.
