Katherine Kotyuha
Katherine Kotyuha, 93, of Masontown, Pa., passed away suddenly Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at her home.
She was born January 22, 1910 in Lamberton, Fayette County, Pa., daughter of George and Mary Kotyuha.
She was a member of Saint Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in New Salem.
Three sisters, Veronica Kotyuha, Anna Faris, Helen Kotyuha, a brother, Joseph Kotyuha, and parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by a brother, George Kotyuha and his wife Cecelia of Masontown with whom she made her home; nephews and nieces: Gregory Kotyuha and his wife Julie of Jefferson, Pa., George Kotyuha Jr. and his wife Cindy and Nadine Morgan and her husband Robert all of Smock, Pa., Kimberly Walt and her husband P. J. of Uniontown, Pa., Andrea Kotyuha and Scot Lehman of Uledi, Pa., and Cheryl Kotyuha of Masontown, Pa.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, December 29, until 9:45 a.m. when a Panachida will be held.
Divine Liturgy follows in Saint Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, New Salem, with the Rev. Fr. Jerome G. Botsko officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Saint Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
Parastas Service will be held in the Funeral Home today at 7 p.m.
