Nancy Perry Brown
Nancy E. Perry Brown, 79, of Cabbage Flats, Greensboro, Pa., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 26, 2003 from Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia, after a brief illness.
She was born on Friday, February 13, 1924 in Oliver, Fayette County, Pa., daughter of Herbert L. Perry and Ada Clark Perry.
Nancy was raised in Bobtown, Pa.
She was a devoted Homemaker and a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Sister.
Her husband, William G. Brown, whom she married on November 17, 1942, died April 28, 1996.
Also deceased are two sisters, Hazel Perry and Kay Olear, brothers, Lester, George, Tommy, Thurman W., and Herbert O. Perry, great granddaughter, Katelyn Elizabeth Minnick (2001), and parents.
She is survived by one son, George William “Bill” Brown and his wife Linda, Uniontown, Pa.; grandchildren: Tammy Campbell and husband Edward, Morgantown, West Virginia, Sherry Minnick and husband William, Dilliner, Pa., Debra Brown and James Gee, Greensboro, Pa., Charles Hixon and wife Jean, North Pole, Alaska, Todd Hixon, Coraopolis, Pa.; great grandchildren: Kris Campbell, William Matthew Brown, Cory Minnick, Tyler Minnick, Julie Minnick, Joelle Brown, Amber Brown, Zachary Brown, Erin Brown, Chuckie Hixon and Rose Hixon; her wonderful sister, June Garrison, Bobtown, Pa.; many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; and her most devoted companion and faithful friend, “Poochie” .
Friends will be received in the PAUL MICHAEL LESAKO FUNERAL HOME INC., Paul M. Lesako, Funeral Director, 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, December 30, until 11 a.m., the hour of Funeral Services with the Rev. William Parker officiating.
Interment will follow in Wolfe Cemetery, Dilliner, Pa.
Visitation was also held Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
