Robert G. Malia
Robert G. Malia, 65, of Dunbar, Pa., passed away Sunday, December 28, 2003 in The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh, Pa.
He was born July 15, 1938 in Buffington, Fayette County, Pa., son of Thomas W. Malia and Rose Olexa Malia.
Robert was a member of Saint Vincent DePaul Roman Catholic Church in Leisenring, Pa.
He was retired from the United States Postal Service with 30 years of Service.
He was a United States Navy Veteran.
“Bob” was a member of The Slovak Club in Connellsville, Dunbar Eagles, American Legion Post 753 in New Salem, Pa., and Pechin Coffee Club.
Three brothers, Joseph E. Malia, Thomas Malia Jr., Francis P. Malia, and parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by a daughter, Marcia Lynn Montoya and husband Geraldo of Gouldsboro, Pa.; a son, Robert L. Malia and wife Leslee Reshenberg Malia of Connellsville, Pa.; grandchildren: Michael P. Koehler, Mariah E. Murray, Brennen M. Malia and Allison C. Malia; two brothers: Richard R. Malia of New Salem, Pa., and Paul S. Malia and wife Edna of Parma, Ohio; a sister, Patricia M. Bitner and husband Paul of Mammoth, Pa; several nieces and nephews; his extended family on his daughter-in-law’s side whom he was vary close to; and a longtime family friend, Richard Ruggieri of Uniontown Pa.
Friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 South First Street, West Side, Connellsville, Pa., on Tuesday, December 30, from 12 Noon to 9 p.m.
