Gilbert R. Hileman, 98, of Dunbar, Pa., died Sunday, December 28, 2003 in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville, Pa. He was born March 6, 1905 in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia, son of Freeman Hileman and Mollie Mae Ryan Hileman.

He was a retired Superintendent from the Hagan Ice Cream Company in Uniontown, Pa.

Four brothers, Edward, Clyde, Jessie and Marshall Hileman, four sisters, Wilma Teets, Erma Teets, Adelia Kelly, Nellie Merle Grover, and parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by three brothers: Troy Hileman, Berwyn Hileman and Delmar Hileman; one sister, Dorothy Hileman Harshbarger; special nephew, Dean Grover and wife Jean who had cared for him for many years; and several great nephews and great nieces.

Friends were received in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Pa., Monday, Dec. 29, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Visitation continues today in the CARL R. SPEAR FUNERAL HOME, Brandonville, West Virginia, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Services will be held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Joe Lamm officiating.

Interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery, Brandonville, West Virginia.
