J. Donald Lewis, 86, of North Chestnut St., Scottdale, Pa., passed away peacefully Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville. Don was the former co-owner of Scottdale Casket Company, for many years, and had previously served as a foreman at the former U..S. Casket Company in Scottdale.

Don will be sadly missed by his loving family: his wife of 59 years, Jean Bitner Lewis; three children, Donna J. Lewis of Venetia, Janis Lewis Bisio and husband, Dennis of North Attleboro, Mass., and J. Scott Lewis and wife, Cindy (Dzambo) of Centennial, Colo.; four grandchildren; a sister, Emma Lewis Bell of Fargo, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m., in the Robert B. Ferguson Funeral Home, 105 Spring St., Scottdale, when a memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel.
