Sisters mark 90th, 92nd birthdays
Celebrating their birthdays recently were sisters Eleanor Albert Sayre and Alberta Albright Wilkes Marcus, both of Perryopolis. Sayre celebrated her 92nd birthday on Oct. 30. Two children, William Sayre of Perryopolis and Gail Sayre Baird of Indiana, survive her.
She has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was married to the late John Sayre. Two children, Jackie Sayre Farkus and Daniel Sayre, preceded her in death.
Marcus celebrated her 90th birthday on Christmas Day. She is survived by five children, Beverly Wilkes Beal of Uniontown; Dennis Wilkes of Lititz, Pa.; Colleen Wilkes Thompson of Ohio; Ruth Wilkes King Johnson of Ohio; and David Wilkes King of Ohio. She has many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was married to the late John Marcus.
Both sisters are members of the First Christian Church in Perryopolis, where they volunteer every Thursday at their church thrift store.
