Ida Ann Depta
Ida Ann Bowser Depta, 63, of Scottdale, Pa., died Monday, December 29, 2003, at her home. Mrs. Depta was born February 2, 1940, in Star Junction, Pa., the daughter of the late James and Irene Johnson Bowser.
Ida was best known for her cooking and baking.
Mrs. Depta was a member of the New Beginnings Church of God of Everson.
She is survived by her loving family: her husband, Joseph William Depta Jr.; her sons, Russell Koontz and his wife Marlene of Everson, Dan Depta and his wife Flos of Scottdale; her daughters, Julia I. Keller and her husband Scott of Everson, and Ashley Marie Piper at home; grandchildren, Amy, Amanda and Angela Minerd, Tiffany Nebraska; her brother, Richard Bowser and his wife Karen of Dawson; her aunts, Elma Mock of Greensburg and Donna Bowser of Bentridge, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ida was also preceded in death by her brother, Paul Bowser in 1988.
Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m., and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at CARUSO MEMORIAL HOME, 303 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 1:30 p.m., in the Funeral Home, with Pastor C. Brian Higbee officiating. Interment will be in Alverton Cemetery.
