Peter “Petey” Ciarmella, 80, of Grays Landing, Pa., died on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born on January 31, 1923, in Gallatin, Pa., son of Carlo and Theresa Ciaramella. His parents, a sister Josephine Butchko and a brother, Alphonse “Artie” Ciaramella, preceded him in death.

For many years, he was the owner and operator of Ciarmella Trucking Company and Ciarmella’s Bar. During World War II, he proudly served his country with the United States Navy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Arnadale (Lubish) Ciarmella; a daughter, Sandy L. Ciarmella of Uniontown, Pa.; and a son, Peter Gary Ciarmella and wife, Nancy of Morgantown, W. Va.; a granddaughter, Marina Grace Ciarmella; a sister, Emaline Pritz of Gallatin, Pa.; and two brothers, Carl Ciaramella of Grays Landing, Pa. and Francis Ciaramella of Hopwood, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Emily Ciaramella of Masontown, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services were conducted under the direction of the HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC. of Masontown, Pa., a Dignity Memorial Provider.
