George Weir Johnson
George Weir Johnson, age 100, of Panama City, Florida, and formerly of Carmichaels, Pa., died Friday, January 31, 2003 at his home. He was born October 21, 1902 in Ohiopyle, Pa., son of William Radcliffe Johnson and Adaline Cunningham Johnson.
George was Presbyterian by faith and a retired Coal Miner from Robena Mine.
His wife, Viola Stuck Johnson, died in 1994. Also deceased are four sons, James, Danny, Donald and Jerry Johnson, two daughters, Betty McMann and Barbara Boni, five brothers, Alex, Henry, Frank, Allen and William Johnson, and his parents.
He is survived by his children: Cindy and her husband, Paul Polink, Carmichaels, Pa., Peggy Johnson Tillery, Panama City, Florida, Charles Johnson and wife, Marlene, and Bud Johnson and wife, Diane, all of Grand Rapids, Michigan; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Private viewing and Service on Tuesday, February 4.
Interment will follow in Bell Grove Cemetery, Ohiopyle, Pa.
