Theft by deception

State police are investigating counterfeit $10 and $20 bills passed at Amy Lynn Food Mart/Exxon gas station on Route 119.

Police said they are reviewing Jan. 28-29 surveillance tapes from the store.

Two hurt in crash

State police said William Bryner of South Connellsville and his passenger, Viola McMullen of Connellsville, suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident Thursday on Moyer Road.

State police at Uniontown said Carol S. Kravats, 43, no address given, was not hurt Thursday when she failed to negotiate a curve and struck an embankment and a guardrail.

Car stolen, recovered

State police said a vehicle stolen between Tuesday and Wednesday from the Hopewell Road driveway of Todd E. Fedak of White was found abandoned about seven miles from Fedak’s home.

Lisa M. McManus told state police that someone took her red 1992 Chevy Blazer from the parking area in front of her house between Wednesday and Thursday.

Morris Web of Leisenring told state police Thursday that someone smashed the window of his 1994 Dodge Intrepid and stole about 40 compact discs.

State police charged Martin Bergman of 221 Gates Road with assault and terroristic threats on Tuesday for an assault that took place at his residence.

State police reported that Kenneth R. Moore of Uniontown was not injured when his car caught fire Thursday on Redstone Furnace Road.

Officials at Shop ‘n Save told state police that on two occasions, someone damaged the coin and bill mechanism on vending machines and removed the money.

Richard Stanton Teesdale of Utica, N.Y., told state police that someone entered his room at the Blue Mountain Motel between Jan. 24 and 28 and took a guitar, a guitar case, guitar tuner and 10 bottles of beer.

Man cited

State police cited Danny Neil Jr., 23, of West Brownsville on Thursday for harassment after he allegedly struck Nicole Patrice Forsyth, 24, of West Brownsville during an argument.
