Lax-Carpenter
Crystal Carpenter of New Salem and Addison Lax were married Oct. 26 in a ceremony at the Fairdale Free Methodist Church, Carmichaels. The bride is the daughter of Yvonne Carpenter-Phillips of Nemacolin and the late Randy Carpenter. The bridegroom is the son of Lori Wigginton of Adah and Fred Wigginton of Jeannette.
The Rev. Tom Barnhart heard the exchange of marriage vows.
Given in marriage by her uncle, Bill Cooper, the bride wore a gown with scoop neckline, bell sleeves, satin bodice and chiffon skirt adorned with pearls. A crystal tiara held a mid-length veil trimmed in satin.
Jennifer Quesada was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Meghann Burrie and Sarah Buday. Ashley Cooper was train carrier, cousin of the bride; and Jacquelan Carpenter, sister of the bride, was flower girl.
Ray Weber, cousin of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Jeremy Lazuka and D.J. Spiker. Tanner Lax, cousin of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.
A reception was held at the Carmichaels VFW.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Carmichaels Area High School and is employed at Davidson Beauty Systems of Uniontown.
The bridegroom is employed at Dollar General of Masontown.
They are residing on Third Street, Buffington, with their 10-month old daughter, Trinity.
