Eva Thomas Soltis
Eva J. Thomas Soltis, age 88, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2003 in Uniontown Hospital. She was born February 22, 1914 in Puritan, Fayette County, Pa., the daughter of Anthony Thomas and Emily Palkovic Thomas.
Eva was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown and The First Catholic Slovak Union.
Her husband, Joseph Soltis, two brothers, John and Steve Thomas, a sister, Mollie Thomas Budner, a daughter-in-law, Dolores A. Soltis, and parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Thomas E. Soltis of Parma, Ohio; a grandson, Roger T. Soltis and his wife, Cherise, of Canton, Ohio; two great grandsons: Ryan J. Soltis and Ethan J. Soltis; a sister, Florence Thomas Bosak of Euclid, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC. AT SYLVAN HEIGHTS CEMETERY, A Dignity Memorial Provider, 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., on Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, February 5, until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, North Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, with Rev. Fr. Micah E. Kozoil as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
