Ida Mae Smith Green, age 89, of Homestead, Pa., and formerly of New Salem, Pa., died Friday evening, January 31, 2003 in Braddock Hospital, Braddock, Pa. She was born April 23, 1913 in Carlton, Alabama, daughter of James Smith and Tena Stradford Smith.

Ida Mae was a member of Mount Ararat Baptist Church, Cardale, Pa., former employee of Cardale Elementary School, and member of Order of the Eastern Star.

Her husband, Lonnie Green, one daughter, Mildred Brunette, one son, Dr. Lonnie Green Jr., one brother, Alphonzo Smith, one sister, Edna Butler, and parents preceded her in death.

Surviving are a daughter, Vivian Robinson of Homestead, Pa.; three sons: Albert Green of Maryland, Gilbert Green of Washington, D.C., and James Green of Youngstown, Ohio; one sister, Theodore Cheatham of Brownsville, Pa.; Grandchildren; Great Grandchildren; Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, other Relatives and Friends.

Friends will be received in MOUNT ARARAT BAPTIST CHURCH, Cardale, Pa., on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. where Services will be held Wednesday, February 5, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Richard Calloway officiating.

Entombment will follow in Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.

Arrangements are entrusted to the MURIEL E. LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, 297 East Main Street, Uniontown, Pa.
