Violet J. Vandivner
Violet J. Workman Vandivner, age 85, of Republic, Pa., passed away Thursday, January 30, 2003 in Uniontown Hospital. She was born August 26, 1917 in Prospect, Pa., a daughter of Braden Workman and Anna Dezort Workman.
Violet was a retired Cook from Hillman and Consolidated Coal companies.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Vandivner in 1974, sisters, Margaret Hughes, Alverda “Birdie” Hughes and Anna Mae Jennings, brothers, Braden, Jack, David and Leroy Workman, and parents.
Surviving are daughters: Joanne Tassone of Republic, Pa., and Kim Roberts and her husband, David, of Brownsville, Pa.; Grandchildren: Greg Tassone and wife, Kim, of Mentor, Ohio, Tina Tassone, Lisa Sloan and husband Dale, Gina Tassone, and Angie Shumar and husband, Wayne, all of Republic, Pa., Danielle Roberts, Kelly Roberts and David Roberts all of Brownsville, Pa.; Great Granddaughters: Amanda Sloan and Emily Sloan; a sister, Helen Rollison of LaBelle, Pa.; and a brother, James Workman of Willoughby, Ohio.
Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME, Legion Street, Republic, Pa., today, Monday, February 3, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with Pastor Michael Peton officiating.
Visitation was also held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
