Man charged

According to Dunbar Borough Police, charges of forgery and false identification to law enforcement officials were filed before District Justice Dwight Shaner against Lonnie Greenwalt Jr. of Connellsville after an incident, which occurred in the borough Oct. 21.

Woman charged

State police said charges were filed against Venita Johnson, 23, of Brownsville after she allegedly slashed the chest of Abdul Muhammad James, 28, of Brownsville with a razor blade during an altercation along Hunters Ridge Road Tuesday at 10 a.m.

Spoiler stolen

Lisa Kies, 22, of Smithton told state police that someone stole the rear spoiler from her vehicle as it was parked along Route 3031 Friday between 2 and 8 a.m.

Guns stolen

State police said someone stole two .22-caliber bolt-action rifles, a Sony Playstation and several Playstation games from the residence of Carol and Melvin Lerch of Vanderbilt Friday at 10 a.m.

Attempted burglary

State police are investigating the attempted burglary of a home owned by Alvain Rhoades, 64, of Ruffsdale along Route 981 Saturday between 1 and 1:15 p.m. According to the police report, the victim’s son, Douglas Rhoades, 34, of Smithton attempted to enter his father’s residence but was forced to his vehicle by the suspect who held Rhoades at gunpoint. The suspect then fired several shots at Rhoades as he attempted to flee the scene. Rhoades returned fire, shooting out the window and possibly the right rear tire of the suspect’s vehicle, police said. Police described the suspect as a white man in his early 20s, around 5-feet 6-inches tall and weighing between 140 and 170 pounds. The suspect had light colored hair and wore a camouflage baseball cap. Police said he fled the scene in a four-door, blue Chevrolet Cavalier or Lumina.

Cars crash

According to state police, vehicles operated by Stephanie Anderson, 22, of Tarrs and James Sprinkle, 65, of Scottdale crashed along Ruffs Dale Road Friday at 4:26 p.m. Anderson and her passenger, Jonathan Bazzar, 19, as well as Sprinkle and his wife, Jane, 62, sustained minor injuries and were transported to Frick Hospital for treatment.

Public drunkenness

City police cited Christopher Lee Baily, no age or address given, Sunday for public drunkenness. Police said they found Baily passed out on Mill Street.

Criminal mischief

Christopher Lester of the Medicine Shop, 159 Morgantown St., told city police that someone damaged a pillar that holds the roof to the drive through lane. Anyone with information is asked to call city police.

The Oasis Bar, 30 E. Main St. reported to city police Sunday that a man was passed out on the barroom floor. Police picked up Oliver Perry Engle, no age or address given, and cited him for public intoxication.

No injuries

State police at Belle Vernon said Randell S. Jeffries of Grindstone was not injured early Sunday morning when the car he was driving traveled across the westbound land of Route 4036 onto the north berm, hit an embankment and rolled onto its left side. Jeffries was taken to the Belle Vernon police station and given a breathalyzer test, according to police.

Vehicle burned

State police said someone burned a vehicle belonging to Terrance Lewis of Uniontown at 6:10 a.m. Jan. 10 at 355 Cleveland Ave. Police are continuing their investigation.

Burglary

State police said someone entered the home of Virginia Marie Nutt of 40 Rose Drive, Smithfield, between 6 and 7 p.m. Jan. 25. Several items were taken and the residence was vandalized, police said.

Card stolen

Wilda Keffer of Dawson told state police that someone attempted to purchase items on the Internet using her credit card between 1:15 and 1:34 a.m. Jan. 26.

One-vehicle accident

State police said Candie Todaro slid along snow-covered Route 711 Wednesday at 8:20 a.m. and struck a stone pillar. Police said Todaro was not injured.

Stolen prescription

State police said someone stole a prescription and had it filled at CVS pharmacy along Route 21 on Jan. 10.

Identity theft

Aimee Wolfe Savage told state police that someone obtained a credit card with her identification sometime in January. Police are investigating.

North Union Twp.

Vehicle stolen

State police said a vehicle owned by David Gardener was stolen from Gardener Auto Sales sometime between 5 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday. The vehicle was later found at the Coolspring ball field Monday at 9 a.m. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact state police at 724-439-7111.

Police investigated at two-vehicle accident at 19 W. Fayette St. involving James Panzone and Francis Kulenovic, no ages or addresses given.

License plate stolen

City police reported that a license plate was taken from a vehicle parked at 161 S. Mount Vernon Ave. on Sunday. The plate number is DCD-2552.

Store burglarized

State police said someone entered Herring Garden Center in Chalk Hill between 11 a.m. Sunday and 12:30 p.m. Monday and took several items.

Theft

State police said an employee at Pechin Shopping Village stole an undisclosed amount of money from the stores between August 2002 and January 2003.
