Anna Mabel Cooley Hickle
Anna Mabel Cooley Hickle, 83, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Monday, February 3, 2003 in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born August 13, 1919 in Fairchance, Pa., daughter of the late Walter and Bertha Lowe Cooley.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Holbert Guy Hickle in 1963; two children, Buddy Hickle and Judy Hickle; three sisters Garnet Cooley, Dorothy Cooley and Freida Crawford; one niece Joan Cooley Fuller; and one grandson and one great granddaughter.
Surviving are five children, Jerry Hickle and wife Eileen of East Hampton, Mass., Pastor James Hickle of R.D. 1, Uniontown, Jake Hickle and wife Judy, Marsha Campbell and fiance Ron Shaffer, Ronald Hickle and wife Wanda, all of Uniontown; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one great great grandson and a brother Max Cooley of Ogden, Utah.
Mrs. Hickle was a member of Sandy Hill Baptist church. She had been employed with Goodwill Industries and was secretary of the White Swan Council. She also sang with the “Grandma Honeys.”
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with Pastor James Hickle, her son, officiating.
Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
