Elizabeth M (Betty) Cimina
Elizabeth M. (Betty) Cimina , 79, of Perryopolis, Pa., died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, at 8 a.m., in Mon-Valley Hospital. She was born Sept. 4, 1923, at Perryopolis, a daughter of the late John and Mary Uhlar Matway.
Betty was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church of Perryopolis.
She is survived by one son, Richard C. Cimina and wife, Stephanie of Upper St. Clair; and two grandsons, Garrett Cimina and Trent Cimina, both at home.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Cimina; three sisters, Helen Cameron, Mary Onusko and Martha Matway; and six brothers, George, Steve, John, Michael, Emil and Joseph Matway.
Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME INC., 106 East Independence St., Perryopolis, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where a prayer service will held on Friday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m., in the St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, with the Rev. Father John T. Euker as celebrant. Interment follows in St. John’s Cemetery, Perryopolis. A Wake Service will be held Thursday evening at 8 p.m.
