Fred C. Angelo
Fred Charles Angelo, 73, of Uniontown, Pa., died Monday, Feb. 3, 2003, at his residence.
He was born June 2, 1929 in New Salem, Pa., the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Zenoby Angelo. Also preceding him in death were four brothers, Michael, Milton, Gilbert and Robert Angelo; and a sister Virginia Lewellyn.
Mr. Angelo was a master carpenter by profession, was a member of the Uniontown Central Christian Church, Carpenters Local 1010 and American Legion Post 51 Uniontown, Pa.
Surviving are his loving wife of 40 years, Emma J. Cunningham Angelo, five children: Joseph West and Gina Adams of Hopwood, Beverly and Ronald Popovich of Uniontown, Scott and Jackie Angelo of Aurora, Ohio, Merrie Beth Angelo and James Schad of Uniontown, and Nancy Angelo of Glendale, Ca.; six grandchildren, Bradley Yohman, Charlie West, Robert and Derek Angelo, Leah Angelo and Emmie Angelo Schad; a brother Richard Angelo and his wife Peg of Uniontown; two sisters, Florence Morrow and her husband Robert of New Salem, and Ruth Ann Winklebauer and her husband John of Duncansville; and a lifelong best friend, Jake Miller of Uniontown.
Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave. Uniontown, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday until 11 a.m. the hour of service, with the Rev. Art Mace officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Uniontown Central Christian Church Memorial Fund, 23 South Gallatin Ave., Uniontown, PA 15401.
Military honors will be accorded graveside by American Legion Post 51 or North Union VFW Post No. 8543.
