Lions news

The Lions Club met last Wednesday at the Star Junction Methodist Church and was treated to a very interesting and informative guest speaker.

It was one of our own members, Lion John Cernuska, owner and CEO of Cernuska’s Motor Repair Emporium. It was an eye opener to see how little we know about the mechanics of the machine that we depend so much upon. In this scribe’s humble opinion, it was one of the best meetings ever held.

Also, discussed was the upcoming St. Valentine’s Party, where it was agreed that we obtain Howard Miscone, a professional performer, to be the star of the show. The festivities will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday with dinner being served around 6:30. The ladies will receive a special gift, procured by Lion Raul Lopez, who after searching high and low, for just the right one, finally found it, and of all places in our own back yard. King Lion Mike Vindivich will notify each member by phone.
