Samantha L. Uhazie of Ferguson Road, Dunbar, is engaged to wed Eric J. Mahoney of Washington Springs Road, Hopwood, in a ceremony set for Aug. 9. The bride-elect is the daughter of Mark Sr. and Carol Uhazie of Ferguson Road, Dunbar. She is a 1998 graduate of Connellsville Area High School and the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy with a teaching degree in cosmetology. She is manager/stylist at Polynesian Hair Designs.

Her fianc’ is the son of Dan and Dorreen Mahoney of Washington Springs Road, Hopwood.

He is a 1996 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School and is employed with Nello Construction.
