Wayne P. Myers
Wayne P. Myers, 87, of Masontown, Pa., died Friday, February 7, 2003 in his residence. He was born August 11, 1915 in Gates, Fayette County, Pa., a son of Marion Myers and Gladys Wilhelm Myers.
Wayne was a member of Masontown United Methodist Church.
He was a Coal Miner for many years lastly at the Nemacolin Mine.
He also worked at Howard’s Market in Masontown for over 15 years.
Wayne was a very caring person and a wonderful family man! He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed gardening very much.
A son, James Marion Myers, two brothers, Earl Myers and Frank Myers, two sisters, Betty Mehal and Ruth Boaheck, and parents preceded him in death.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ruth Leona Farrier Myers; two sons: Gary W. Myers and wife, Erna, of Masontown, Pa., and Stanley E. Myers and wife, Connie, of Nemacolin, Pa.; six grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two sisters: Margaret Kuba of Aliquippa, Pa., and Joann “Toby” Henry of Point Marion, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., A Dignity Memorial Provider, 515 North Main Street, Masontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, February 10, until 11 a.m. when a Service will be held in the Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Lewis of Masontown United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment will follow in Church Hill Cemetery, McClellandtown, Pa.
