Wilbert Don Jordan
Wilbert Don Jordan, age 72, of Fairchance, Pa., died Thursday, February 6, 2003 in The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born May 27, 1930 in Fairchance, Pa., son of William Jordan and Lelia Rowan Jordan.
Wilbert was retired after 34 years of service with Thorofare Markets and also worked as a volunteer at the Uniontown Public Library.
Surviving are his wife, Vietta Noakes Jordan; eight children: Barbara “Janie” Carter and husband, William, of Woodbridge, Virginia, Wilbert Charles Jordan of Fairchance, Pa., Marshall Jordan and wife, Linda, of Hampton, Virginia, Penny Vedadi and husband, Alan, of Potomac, Maryland, Christine Murin and husband, Kenneth, of Harrisburg, Pa., Lorie Davis and husband, J. Kirby Davis, of Dallas Texas, Carolyn Jordan of Fairchance, Pa., and Craig Jordan at home; 11 Grandchildren; one sister, Dolores Ostrander of McKeesport, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
The Family will receive Friends in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Visitation will continue on Tuesday, February 11, from 10 until 11 a.m. in Trinity United Presbyterian Church, Morgantown and West Fayette streets, Uniontown, Pa. Services will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William J. Moull officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
