Stella Mozden Petrush
Stella Mozden Petrush, age 84, of Oliver, Pa., passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2003 in her residence. She was born November 6, 1918 in Oliver Three, Pa., daughter of John Mozden and Kathryn (Swiek) Mozden.
Stella was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown, Pa., Catholic War Veterans, and the Oliver Catholic Mothers Club.
She loved her Family and her Great Grandsons!
Her husband, Francis Petrush, died August 13, 1998. Also deceased are five sisters, Kathryn Rabatin, Dorothy Sheba, Violet Petrus, Jenny Setnick, Rose Keighley, and her parents.
She is survived by her children: John F. Petrush and his wife, Linda, of Oliver, Pa., and Mary Kay Pendleton and her husband, John Pendleton, of Frederick, Maryland; three grandsons: John R. Petrush of Seattle, Washington, Paul C. Petrush of Oliver, Pa., and John F. “J.J.” Petrush of Frederick, Maryland; three great grandsons: Paul Ryan Petrush, Jason Owen Petrush and Chad Michael Petrush all of Oliver, Pa.; two sisters, Josephine Conchilla and Helen Sible, and two brothers, Bernard Mozden and Edward Mozden, all of Uniontown, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., A Dignity Memorial Provider, 139 West Fayette Street, Uniontown, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, February 12, until 9:30 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Old Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown, with Fr. Mathew Brozovic, O.F.M., as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Hopwood, Pa.
Parish Family Vigil Service by The Ministry of Consolation will be in the Funeral Home on Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m.
