James E. Winner, 77, of Brownsville, Pa., died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, in the Uniontown Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Britt Winner; two daughters, Deborah Griffiths of Wheeling, W.Va., and Nancy Mammarella and husband Mark of Brownsville; six grandchildren, Jennifer Roos, Jeff Griffiths, Gary Winner and Marc, Megan and Matthew Mammarella; and one great grandson, Ryan Roos.Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park St., Brownsville, Pa. today from 6 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. where a prayer service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m., in the Historic Church of St. Peters of Brownsville, Pa., with the Rev. Fr. Vincent Gigliotti as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter’s R.C. Church, Brownsville, Pa., for the Society for Progressive Spuranuclear Palsy, Woodholme Medical Building, Suite 515, 1838 Green Tree Rd., Baltimore, MD 21208.
