Oscar Clemons Jr., 445 High St., Brownsville, Pa., died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at his residence. He leaves to mourn his loss and cherish his memories two sons, Kevin Frye of Masontown, Pa., and Cedric Dewayne Penn Clemons and his wife, Tina of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; a daughter, Laura Ann Settles of Allison; a loving and devoted sister, Virginia Lee of Brownsville, with whom he resided with; five stepsons, Charles Penn Sr., and wife, Denise of Chesapeake, Va., Douglas Penn and Kirk Penn, both of Brownsville, the Rev. Mark Penn of Fairfax, Va., and Jeffrey Penn and his wife, Sonya of Laurel Md.; two stepdaughters, Elaine Woods of Republic, and Sharon Calloway and her husband, Floyd of Masontown, Pa.; five grandchildren, Sierra J. Brown of Pittsburgh, Pa., ,Cedric and Venetra Clemons of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Whitney and Henry Settles of Allison, Pa.; three nephews, whom he shared a very special and close relationship with, Rudolph Smith and wife, Ama of LaBelle, Pa., John S. of Allison, Pa., and Isaac Melvin and wife, Yvonica of Brownsville, Pa.; former wife, Catherine Clemons of Brownsville, Pa.; two very special friends, Toni Spohn of Republic, Pa., and Henry Wilson of Pittsburgh, Pa.; special cousins, Helen and Browder Creech of Allison, Pa.; and a host of stepgrandchildren, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
Friends will be received at the LAW FUNERAL HOME, 135 Angle St., Brownsville, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., with Masonic Services at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m., in Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, Baltimore Street, Brownsville, with the Rev. Herman B. Jackson officiating and the Rev. Mark Penn eulogizing. Interment will be at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.
